Mangan Holcomb’s campaign for Arkansas law firm wins national award
Work to be featured alongside creative efforts from New York, LA, Chicago firms



LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (June 8, 2010) – The branding campaign developed by Arkansas advertising agency Mangan Holcomb Partners for Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, PLLC has won the national Burton Award for Best Law Firm Advertisement from the Burton Foundation and the Association of Legal Administrators.

The campaign plays off of the double-line imagery in the firm’s logo, which features two words – Mitchell Williams – with “Double L” letter combinations. Headlines featured in the campaign series include “eleven million,” recognizing the firm’s involvement with the Arkansas Foodbank Network, “electrically charged,” promoting the firm’s experience representing public utilities, “economically engaged,” touting the firm’s involvement in economic development, and “medically minded,” focusing on the firm’s healthcare practice, among others.

The Burton Awards for Legal Achievement recognizes effective legal writing. One award in each of five categories is presented annually. Law firms in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington, D.C., are also Burton Award winners this year. Mitchell Williams, along with the other winning firms, will receive its Burton Award on June 14 in Washington, D.C.

Last year, the Mitchell Williams “Double L” campaign received the first-place award in the “Firm Promotional Advertisement” category in the Legal Marketing Association’s SELMA Awards competition.

The campaign was the first in the firm’s 56-year history and ran in business and trade publications, as well as society and lifestyle magazines.
