Mangan Holcomb Partners’ Work for
Keep Arkansas Beautiful Wins Best of Show Award

Agency Honored by Arkansas Public Relations Society of America

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (July 2, 2008) – Arkansas advertising agency Mangan Holcomb Partners’ campaign for Keep Arkansas Beautiful’s Great Arkansas Cleanup recently earned the Best of Show Prism Award from the Arkansas Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

“This is evidence of solid planning and forethought,” said one judge regarding the Great Arkansas Cleanup campaign. “Very well executed and managed.” The Prism Awards are judged by accredited public relations professionals from another PRSA chapter.

Mangan Holcomb Partners is the only Arkansas advertising agency ever to receive the Arkansas Best of Show Prism, which has been presented the past two years. Last year, the agency won Best of Show for “A Common Thread of Exceptional Care” campaign for Memphis-based Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center featuring pro bono voice talent by Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, a Memphis native.

The Prism awarded for the Great Arkansas Cleanup also marks the fourth consecutive year that the campaign has won the Prism in the Public Service category. In addition to the Public Service and Best of Show Prisms, the agency was honored with three other Prisms, including another one for Keep Arkansas Beautiful for the anti-litter TV spot featuring Arkansas’ own Fouke Monster, which won in the TV Public Service Announcement category.

Promotion of the Arkansas Urology Kickoff to Men’s Health community health fair also earned Mangan Holcomb the Business Special Event Prism for the second year in a row.

“This is a textbook example of how to conduct a PR campaign,” commented one judge about the Arkansas Urology work. “Thorough research, knowing your target audiences and reaching them through proper channels, then carrying out the event with activities that truly appeal to those audiences, then evaluating whether your plan worked – in detail.”

In addition, the Junior Achievement of Arkansas Executive Ad Series featuring prominent Arkansas business leaders was honored in the Print Special Advertising Support category for its success in boosting awareness, recruitment and community support for this nonprofit organization.

The Prism Awards recognize PR accomplishments in 18 categories. The Best of Show winner was selected by the judges from all entries in all categories. Projects were judged according to the research, planning, execution and evaluation of each project.
