Mangan Holcomb Partners Earns Accolades from Arkansas Public Relations Society of America

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (October 12, 2009) – Arkansas advertising agency Mangan Holcomb Partners has been awarded six Prism Awards by the Arkansas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for campaigns created for healthcare, public service and nonprofit clients.

The agency’s “We’re Building For” campaign for Memphis-based Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center received the Prism in the Nonprofit Institutional Program category. The campaign, which supports Le Bonheur’s major renovation effort and accompanying capital campaign, used a series of building-sized banners to wrap the existing hospital and construction site.

The agency was also honored with two other Prisms for work for healthcare clients, including the nationally award-winning “Make Believe” campaign for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, La., which won in the TV Special Advertising Support category. St. Vincent Health System’s “ER Opening” billboard series was honored with the Prism in the Print Special Advertising Support category, marking the third time this series has garnered acclaim at the national or state level.

The Prism awarded for the Great Arkansas Cleanup marks the fifth consecutive year the campaign has won in the Public Service category. Mangan Holcomb’s nonprofit work for the International Greek Food Festival and The Miracle League received Prisms in the Nonprofit Public Relations on a Shoestring and Print Public Service Announcement categories, respectively.

Mangan Holcomb is one of only two agencies to be honored with six Prisms, the most earned by any agency during this year’s awards ceremony. Public relations professionals from across the state were recognized in 30 categories ranging from Media Relations to Internal Communications to Special Events and Observances.

A group of professionals, all Accredited in Public Relations (APR), from the Memphis PRSA chapter visited Little Rock for a weekend in August to judge entries. Projects were evaluated based on research, planning, execution and evaluation.

“It’s extremely gratifying to be recognized by APR professionals who judge our work based on the results we achieve for our clients,” said Sharon Tallach Vogelpohl, senior vice president and director of client services and public relations at Mangan Holcomb. “To be honored by a group of PR practitioners is the ultimate affirmation of our professional ability.”
